Highway District No. 4 is responsible for traffic signage and traffic operations on roads maintaned by the highway district. We do not provide enforcement of speed limits or other traffic violations, these are the responsibility of the Canyon County Sheriff's Office (208-454-7510).
Speed Limits
Speed zones are established by engineering study of roadway characteristics, free-flow traffic speeds, and other elements. By policy, all local subdivision streets are posted at 25 mph unless lower speeds are warranted due to geometric features such as hills or curves.
